In this article, we will explain what to do if you hear a scratching noise during your music streaming through Sonos.
In this case, we recommend that you reset your Sonos product to factory defaults.
This process deletes a Sonos product's registration information, as well as content and music services stored under My Sonos. This is usually done before you pass the product on to someone else. The Sonos app may also recommend that you perform this process if it cannot find your product during setup. If you want to delete data from multiple Sonos products, you must follow these steps for each product.
How to reset your product
All products (except Move, Roam, and Roam SL)
- Unplug the power cord.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and allow one minute for the product to boot up.
Sonos Move
- Take Move off of the charging base.
- Hold the power button for at least 5 seconds, or until the status light turns off.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Press the power button or place Move back onto its charging base.
Sonos Roam and Roam SL
- Disconnect Roam from charging cables and remove it from wireless chargers.
- Hold the button on the back of Roam for at least five seconds until you hear the power-off tone and the light above the Sonos logo turns off.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Press the button on the back of Roam to turn it back on.
